MoKi Analytics GmbH
MoKi Analytics offers products and services for the molecular detection of microorganisms. We specialize in microscopic methods using molecular probes, such as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
Our range of services includes the detection of microbial communities, known as biofilms, as well as in vitro experiments and tissue sample analyses. We combine microscopic detection with molecular biology methods such as PCR, real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing, or next-generation sequencing (NGS) for microbiome analyses.
Research and Funding
MoKi Analytics was founded with financial support from the EXIST program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the European Social Fund for Germany.
Since 2019, our research on a FISH-based testing platform to measure the effectiveness of antimicrobial substances and surfaces has been co-financed by the European Union and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Since 2020, MoKi Analytics has led the SME Innovation collaborative project ‘PROCEED,’ funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The project focuses on personalized prevention and diagnostics of dental implant infections (peri-implantitis) using molecular imaging.
Since 2020, MoKi Analytics has also been a proud partner in the EU Innovative Training Network (ITN) project ‘GROWTH’ (https://growth-horizon2020.eu/) and the EU Twinning project ‘CEMBO’ (https://cembo.eu/).
Since 2021, MoKi Analytics has proudly led the BMBF research project ‘TEAM’ (Therapy Success Against Microbes), focused on improving diagnostics and therapy for infectious endocarditis. We are also a partner in the BMBF research project ‘FIELD’ (FISH in the Field), which applies FISH for tuberculosis diagnostics under field conditions.
