
MoKi Analytics GmbH
MoKi Analytics offers products and services for the molecular detection of microorganisms. We specialize in microscopic methods using molecular probes, such as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
Our range of services includes the detection of microbial communities, known as biofilms, as well as in vitro experiments and tissue sample analyses. We combine microscopic detection with molecular biology methods such as PCR, real-time PCR, Sanger sequencing, or next-generation sequencing (NGS) for microbiome analyses.
Research and Innovation
Innovative diagnostics emerge from continuous research. Consequently, research and development are central components of MoKi Analytics GmbH.
Our goal is to develop new molecular biological methods for the direct detection of microorganisms and biofilms, to validate them scientifically, and to rapidly integrate them into routine diagnostics.
Our research focuses on the molecular imaging of microbial infections using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), the combination of FISH with modern sequencing techniques (FISHseq, MG-FISH), the diagnosis of biofilm-associated infections, and the development of innovative diagnostic methods for implant-associated infections, endocarditis, and other chronic infectious diseases.
Current Research Projects
We are delighted to be part of the ValveGuard project since 2026 funded by the European Union (EU) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project aims to develop an endocarditis simulator for testing prosthetic heart valves.
In addition, since 2026, MoKi Analytics is partner in the EU-funded Innovative Training Network (ITN) "iSTRIDE" and the consortium leader for the research project "MEND"—funded by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR)—which investigates the role of microorganisms in endometriosis.
MoKi Analytics was founded with financial support from the EXIST program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the European Social Fund for Germany.
